The autonomy Project: Terms of Service


1. Eligibility Criteria

1.1 Age Requirement: Membership is open exclusively to individuals who are at least 21 years of age.

1.2 Background Eligibility: Applicants listed on any U.S. state sex offender registry or a community deny list, as recognized by the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom and its affiliates, are subject to disqualification from membership.

1.3 Information Accuracy: Members must provide truthful and accurate information regarding their identity, age, and status. Any misrepresentation may lead to immediate and permanent expulsion from The Autonomy Project and potential legal consequences.

1.4 Information Sharing for Safety: The Autonomy Project reserves the right to share the personal information of rejected applicants with other community organizations for the purpose of maintaining community safety.


2. Billing and Subscriptions

2.1 Subscription Agreement: By purchasing a membership, the member agrees to an automatically renewing subscription, with recurring payments due as per the selected frequency (monthly, annually, etc.).

2.2 Payment Authorization: Members authorize The Autonomy Project to charge the subscription fee, along with any applicable taxes, at the commencement and for the duration of the subscription period.

2.3 Subscription Continuation and Termination: Subscriptions will automatically renew at the prevailing rate unless terminated by the member or The Autonomy Project. The Autonomy Project reserves the right to modify subscription terms and fees at its discretion.


3. Automatic Renewal Terms

3.1 Recurring Charges: Members consent to periodic charges for the subscription, which will continue until the member cancels the subscription or changes the payment method. Charges incurred prior to cancellation are the responsibility of the member.


4. Unpaid Charges

4.1 Service Suspension for Non-Payment: Failure to pay subscription fees may result in the suspension, cancellation, or termination of services. Members are liable for all charges incurred until the account is settled or closed.

4.2 Collection of Unpaid Amounts: The Autonomy Project retains the right to pursue the collection of all unpaid amounts, including associated costs.


5. Termination

5.1 Voluntary Termination: Members may terminate their accounts at any time via the online system available in the Account Management section.


6. Refund Policy

6.1 Non-Refundable Nature of Payments: All payments made to The Autonomy Project are non-refundable, except at the discretion of The Autonomy Project leadership. Refunds, when granted, are subject to the leadership's judgment and the specifics of the situation.


7. Site Content

7.1 Intellectual Property Rights: The Autonomy Project exclusively owns or holds licenses for all content, design, and materials on the site, excluding user-submitted content. This does not confer any ownership rights to the members.

7.2 Content Usage Restrictions: Members are prohibited from using, modifying, reproducing, distributing, selling, or licensing any site content without express written permission from The Autonomy Project. Members are permitted to access, view, and make single copies or prints of the site content solely for personal, non-commercial use.


This document constitutes the complete terms of service for The Autonomy Project. Members are advised to review these terms regularly as they are subject to change. Continued use of The Autonomy Project's services constitutes acceptance of these terms.


Eligibility Criteria: 

Welcome to The Autonomy Project. Potential members should be aware of the following Terms of Service.

All potential members must be over the age of 21. Inclusion on either a United States state sex offender registry or inclusion on a community deny list (as maintained by the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom and joint organization’s community standards) may be terms for rejection for membership. Any misrepresentation or violation of identity, age, or status as presented above will result in a permanent ban and may result in prosecution. 

The Autonomy Project reserves the right to communicate rejected membership applicant names, emails, and phone numbers to other community organizations for the sole purpose of community safety. 


Billing and Subscriptions:

If you purchase a membership, you are subscribing to an automatically renewing subscription requiring recurring payments at the stated frequency (e.g. monthly or annually) until you cancel by:

You authorize us to charge your first subscription fee and any applicable taxes on or after the date you purchase your subscription. Your subscription will automatically continue at the selected interval, and you will continue to be charged at the stated price, unless prior to the end of the term you (a) terminate your account; (b) you cancel your subscription per terms outlined above; (c) we declined to renew your subscription; or (d) these Terms and Conditions are otherwise properly terminated as expressly permitted herein. We may change subscription terms or fees at any time on a go-forward basis at our sole discretion.


Automatic Renewal Terms: 

You agree that The Autonomy Project may submit periodic charges without further authorization from you until you provide notice that you wish to terminate this authorization or change your payment method. You agree that such notice will not affect charges submitted before The Autonomy Project could reasonably act.

For cancellation, you will be responsible for any and all charges incurred with respect to the subscription term.


Unpaid Charges:

If any fee is not paid in a timely manner or your transaction cannot be processed, we reserve the right to suspend, disable, cancel, or terminate your services. If your payment method expires or is otherwise invalid, we do not automatically terminate your account and you remain responsible for all charges and uncollected amounts incurred until you cancel or we, at our sole discretion, decide to terminate your account. In addition, we reserve the right to collect from you all costs we incur in connection with the collection of unpaid amounts.


Termination

You may elect to terminate your account utilizing our online system at any time. You can find this information inside Account Management after sign in. 


Refund Policy

All payments made to The Autonomy Project are non-refundable except at the discretion of The Autonomy Project leadership. Refunds, if any, will be granted solely based on the leadership's judgment and applicable circumstances. 


Site Content

Other than content submitted to The Autonomy Project site or Social Media (”Online Community”) by users (”User Content”), we own, exclusively, all rights, title, and interest in and to the site including all content, code, data, materials, the look and feel, design, and organization of the site, and the compilation of site content, code, data, and materials (collectively, “Site Content”), including all copyrights, trademark rights, patent rights, database rights, moral rights, sui generis rights, and other intellectual property and proprietary rights therein. To the extent that we don’t own any Site Content, we have secured a license from the owner or licenser of such Site Content granting us the right to display it on the site. Your use of the site does not grant you ownership of any kind in any Site Content. Except as provided in these Terms, you agree to not use, modify, reproduce, distribute, sell, license, or otherwise exploit any Site Content without The Autonomy Project’s prior written permission. You may access and view the Site Content and make single copies or prints of the Site Content at your own sole risk, only for your personal, non-commercial, and internal use.
