If you missed the Wicked Eden grand opening, this is the speech from Alexandra Snow:
I stand before you today, filled with a profound sense of joy and gratitude. We are gathered here to celebrate not just the opening of a new establishment, but the birth of a vision, the manifestation of a dream. Today, we lift the veil on Wicked Eden.
You see, Wicked Eden is more than a catchy name. It's a promise, a temptation, and a challenge all wrapped in one. It's the result of tireless days, sleepless nights, and - just for the record - it's not as easy as it looks. We aspired to make this a place of security, creativity, and passion for our community.
Every great journey begins with a single step. Today marks that first step for Wicked Eden. But we did not arrive at this moment on our own. Our journey to this grand opening has been paved with the support, guidance, and belief of so many. Today is not just about a new beginning, but a time to express our gratitude to all those who have made this day possible.
To our incredible team, you are the beating heart of Wicked Eden. Your dedication, passion, and creativity have brought us to this moment. I am proud and grateful to each one of you. Your late nights and tireless days have not been in vain. We built this together and we’ll continue to build—just don’t worry, I think we’re done putting furniture together.
Of course, our other founders: Des & Fembot, and our other board members, Alara and Dee. Please shower them with validation for me. And special acknowledgement to Tony and Katy, who worked tirelessly alongside us.
To the community around us, we are grateful for your support and your faith in this. Our donors, our sponsors, all of you pitched in to create this masterpiece. You all showed up, bought every single ticket, and plastered the internet with excitement before we posted a single image of the finished space. You fucking rock.
Wicked Eden is not just a culmination of hard work and perseverance, it is the embodiment of dreams, aspirations, and the power of collaboration. It represents the spirit of creativity and the courage to innovate. It represents one sex worker’s dream to go in the face of the establishment and never give up.
Today, as we stand at the precipice of this exciting journey, let us remember this moment. Let's remember this feeling of joy, of accomplishment, and gratitude. This is not the end of our journey, but the start of a new chapte r in the story of Wicked Eden.
Let's raise a toast to the dreamers and doers, to the believers and achievers. Welcome to Wicked Eden. May this be a place of joy, creativity, and enduring success.
Thank you, everyone. Let's celebrate the beginning of an extraordinary journey.
