EVERY DOLLAR MATTERS
A message from our Executive Director, Jamie
What makes a space a home? It’s the people, the safety, and the dreams that grow within.

Help us create spaces where joy flourishes and communities thrive.
The Autonomy Project is expanding its mission to meet the challenges of a shifting cultural and political landscape. Our new advocacy programming and community support initiatives focus on providing tangible resources, fostering resilience, and empowering marginalized communities to thrive in the face of adversity.
These initiatives are about more than survival—they’re about helping our community thrive. By creating spaces for learning, connection, and advocacy, we’re building a network of support that strengthens our community at every level. Whether it’s a workshop, a mutual aid fund, or advocacy training, everything we do is rooted in empowering individuals and fostering collective action.
We're gearing up to provide resources and programming that will help our community weather the storm. Your dollar could be the difference between someone finding hope or feeling lost.

I found AP during one of the hardest times in my life. Their resilience circles and support groups gave me a space to heal, to be seen, and to feel understood. It’s more than just a place—it’s a family, a sanctuary, and a movement all in one.

The Autonomy Project reminds me that joy is not frivolous—it’s essential. Dancing at their queer nights, painting in their art sessions, or just meeting people who truly see you… This is what keeps us going in tough times.

AP has redefined what it means to be a safe space. It’s not just about having a roof over your head—it’s about creating a home where you feel free to be exactly who you are. No matter what happens in my life, I know I can always come home to my found family at AP. This my forever home.
